Recently we visited a restaurant that has been on my list for a long, long time. I’m not quite sure why we had not been to Cavistons before but one thing I do know, we will be back very soon. I loved everything about Cavistons, the menu, place, food, staff, wine. A small restaurant next to the shop, it’s very simply decorated with wooden tables & chairs and large wall murals.
Cavistons Restaurant opened in 1996 with a long history before that in the seafood business. There are daily specials, depending on what’s in season and has been caught fresh, as well as the staple items on the menu. After a walk in Dun Laoghaire, with a little pitstop for a drink in the sunshine, we worked our way along the coast to Sandycove and our early evening dinner reservation in Cavistons.
